If you are not already familiar with that, let me share some things that are worthwhile and exciting. Some sites pay you to read books.
The site that pays you to read books
#1. Booklist
- This site is linked to the American Library Association.
- You get paid for reviewing the book.
- They request 150 to 170 words of review.
- You can visit their site and apply as a reviewer.
Pay: $15 per review
#2. ACX
ACX is one of the most popular platforms when it comes to making money by reading books. ACX is associated with Amazon.
This site basically looks for voice-over artists. You can join the ACX and find the jobs posted by authors who are looking for a voiceover for their books.
Pay: Hourly (Generally $100 or more per Hour)
#3. Upwork
You all might be familiar with Upwork. It’s a freelance platform. Many authors search for beta readers on Upwork. They pay as per the project. You can earn a fixed amount or hourly.
Pay:
Some people are seeking a simple review of some words on Goodreads or Amazon books. They usually pay $20 per review, usually. Price vary.
Some are searching for proofreading and book critiques. They pay higher as it’s keen to work. Usually $50 per hour.
#4. OnlineBookClub
One of the most reliable and easy-to-work platforms. You just need to sign up for the Online Book Club. There are thousands of books to review. You will get notified about the opportunities and available books in your email.
You simply need to read the book and give a review.
Pay: $5 to $60 per Review
#5. Voices
Over 5,000 tasks are listed on Voices every month, and upon completion of a project, your cash is promptly paid into PayPal. Voices are a great platform for voice-over artists. You can check the offers, rates and availability on the platform.
Pay: Pay for projects under the “audiobooks” expertise ranges from $250 to $375.
Wrapping it Up
Making money by reading books is fun and reliable. There are thousands of platforms that pay for reading books. I listed a few that I explored. I will share more when I explore. All these platforms are very reliable and 100% authentic. From above, I work on Upwork and the Online Book Club. I also applied for Voices and ACX, but unfortunately, they’re not available in my country yet.
